Seventh Annual Pork Fest returns to Merrill Park!
Grace Episcopal Church invites Concord residents to the 7th Annual Pork Fest fundraiser on Saturday, September 10 from 12-2:30pm at Merrill Park on Eastman Street. The neighborhood cookout will feature BBQ pork, hamburgers and hot dogs, games, bounce houses and a raffle.
While the event is free, donations will be accepted. All donations will support Grace Episcopal Church’s Take-a-Tote ministry to provide weekend meals to local public schoolchildren enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program. Take-a-Tote currently supplies 50 tote bags of food each week to East Concord’s Mill Brook School. Each tote bag costs $10 to fill.
“Children who get free lunches can’t be served when school is out, on weekends and in the summer. This Pork Fest allows our Take-a-Tote program to serve a hidden need,” said Will Ashworth, a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
