Announcements for the week of December 4, 2016

Saint Nicholas Fair Our 2016 fair raised $1,500 in the hours from 9am to noon last Saturday! These funds will support Take-a-Tote. Thanks to Tiffany Dodd and the many volunteers who worked that day!

Parishioners took 12 Angel Tags from the Salvation Army to give children a happier Christmas. Great work!

Take-a-Tote donor cards are available for purchase throughout Advent in the Parish Hall.  Each card is $10 which is equivalent to one tote’s food contents.  Buy several for your “hard-to-shop for” friends and relatives.  It’s the perfect stocking stuffer or Christmas card. Funds raised go to the continued support of our Take-a-Tote ministry at Grace.

Poinsettias To beautify our Christmas worship, fill out the envelope in your pew and place it in the offering plate when it comes by. Orders must be in by Dec. 18. Suggested gift: $10.

Grace Needlers Monday, December 12, at 10:30am. Do you do any form of needlework? Learn, share skills, or just to be with those who share your interests. All skill levels welcome. Contact: Sharon Billingsley at srbturtle@yahoo.com
Book Club meets Monday, December 12 at 7pm. Our book is The Meaning of Mary Magdalene by Cynthia Bourgeault. We invite all parishioners to this discussion!

Central Convocation gathers on Tuesday, December 13, 7pm at St. John’s Church in Dunbarton (270 Stark Highway North). Deacon Johanna Young will lead Bible Study and speak on refugee resettlement and welcoming strangers. She helped resettle about 250 refugees in Concord and Nashua from the Congo, Bhutan, Afghanistan, Burma, Sudan, and Syria.

The Central Convocation is made up of the six Episcopal Churches in Concord, Dunbarton, Hopkinton, Pittsfield and Weare. While our Diocesan Convention Delegates are expected to attend, all are invited to participate in this evening of prayer and learning!
